Wanderlust

I love vintage travel posters

the graphic imagery

the vibrant colors

the enticing

and exotic visual lures encouraging you to travel to foreign lands

to ride a camel

hop on a Vespa to the countryside

or simply have a picnic in an urban jungle.

Travel posters were of great importance in the early mid-20th century,but have become a lost art.

* This post is dedicated to a great friend who is celebrating her birthday where vuvuzelas are currently blaring because of the crazy world cup season.

It’s nice to be reminded that life isn’t supposed be a well-oiled machine. That it’s okay if I’m not always thinking two steps ahead. Living in the “now” is messy, crazy, and usually out of control…but I find it’s also the most fun.

Aged cheddar and Apple melt

I've always liked Cibo's Marmellata . It's like a meal and dessert combined into one sandwich. As an alternative ,I tried making aged cheddar and apple melt this morning. It tastes great, especially on raisin bread.
